Dr. Emerson is currently writing a book titled Beyond Antiracism: Abolitionist Teacher Learning in Schools contracted with Harvard Education Press.

Dr. Emerson is preparing to conduct a teacher participatory action research (TPAR) study during the 25-26 and 26-27 school years at the intersections of teacher education, restorative justice, and elementary schools. She currently facilitates an art club called Repair & Transform with youth ages 9-11.
